Social relationships

We live in a society with high diversity. Many religions, many cultures and many social values adds considerable amount of influence into our lives. But we all have our own preferences. We like to look at sights which are pleasing to our eyes and talk with people with good sense of humour. Here is an exercise which is focused on revealing the type of social relationships we expect. What we have to do is select the most appropriate word from three words given in relation to the group name. I have already highlighted my answers.

Dog
Sea
Horse
Coffee
Friendly
Calm
Fast
Light
Ferocious
Deep
Strong
Normal
Intelligent
Rough
Faithful
black

Dog represent how you like others to see you. It’s 100% correct. I always wanted to be the type of person whit lot of friends and whom they can trust. The second group, sea, shows the type of friends you like to have. Well, what I had in my mind was a sea with frequent tides, like a surfer’s paradise in Hawaii. It’s not that I dislike people with rough personalities. But I like people with free and relaxed mind who are willing to have fun at any given opportunity.

Whenever we see a horse, the first thing that comes to mind is their flying gallops and the strong physique. That’s why I selected strong in third group which represent our ethics. That’s true indeed. Sometimes we have to take shortcuts to reach our goals if there are any barriers ahead. It doesn’t mean I prefer to be unethical all the time. But the world is not that kind to allow us to accomplish whatever we want. We can’t let other factors stop us from reaching them. If we want something we should dream about it, work towards it and grab it before celebrating.

The last group, coffee, suggests the type of relationship we are expecting. Yes, normal is the most appropriate answer. Not into either depths, a simple life with happiness.

Time management

Time is the only resource that is shared equally among all people the people in world. No person get leap days neither short days. It’s all about how we make use of time. Here is an exercise which we did in the class room. The exercise is to select five words that we feel best apply to time.

Spent
White
Friendly
Opportunity
Lively
Unclaimed
Exhausting
Hollow
Ready
Busy
Handy
Effective
Mountainous
Relentless
Tense
Valley-like
Available
Empty
Energetic
Restless
Bumpy
Jammed
Blank
Exciting

According to the interpretation, all five words are in same the category which represents a person who takes charge of time, a person who reshapes it to fit your goals and lifestyle. Very much like me. Most of the time, I try to finish my tasks within the schedule. But there are occasions on which I was late. Sometimes it’s beyond my control. At such occasions, I rearrange to rest of the day with the time left.

Team role test results

In last 6 months, I had the chance to work in 3 different teams. Each team was unique, different people, different goals and different atmosphere. At the same time, I played totally different roles in all those occasions. So it’s time to find out who I really am and what I expect from the team.

According to this test, I come under leader’s role. I always prefer to be a collaborative leader. But at the same time, when others are not performing their task properly, I tend to do it by myself. I always want to see the target being achieved some way or the other. So it clearly shows the type of personality in me.

This test has categorized me into the role of a driver. It’s kind of same result with the last test. So there is no surprise for me being put into the driver’s role.

These test results have projected an accurate team role player in me. But I wish if I could improve on communicative skills. Sometimes I tend to speak fast. But over the time I managed to lower the speed. I hope that in near future I’d be an even better speaker.
